Eclectic Easter...

I love Easter because it's the first time it really starts to feel like Spring! There are so many different and unique ways to decorate an Easter table. You can go totally traditional add pastel plates mixed with patterned napkins and silk flowers for a totally colorful Spring display or tone it down with colors found in nature. For this style I love to work with different combinations of brown, green, white and blue.  Here are some of my favorite Easter tables!

"Springing Forward"

For this table I chose pastel pinks, yellows, blues and greens. I was hosting 10 people so I had fun mixing and matching plates, napkins and silver. Have fun, anything goes just be sure to stay within your color palate!

"The Blessings Of Easter"

Another way to set a table at Easter time is to reflect on what the Easter holiday is about for so many...Jesus and his resurrection from death, eternal life and his teachings and love of all people. I originally designed this table for one of my dear friends and I loved it so much, I used it for my Easter brunch! I used green, brown and white for my color palate focusing on nature and life. I got these adorable brown speckled quail eggs from World Market (click here to buy!) Since eggs are a symbol of life and rebirth, much like Easter, they were the perfect addition! For the crosses, I just picked up some twigs from my neighborhood...Perfect! :)

"Easter Understated"

Not everyone is a fan of pastels, typically I'm not a huge fan although I do use them. If you aren't a fan of pastels, you may want an Easter table that's a little more understated. It's a table that says Easter without the bunnies, the pastels and the dyed Easter eggs. For this table I picked blue, brown and white and kept it super simple. To get the Easter feel I added my blue bird on a wire and mixed my blue and brown quail eggs. I used a vase with flowers to create height. There are all kinds of color possibilities with a simple table like this. Pic 2 or 3 colors you like and go for it!

Easter is about new life. What is a better symbol than this than baby ducks? Move over bunnies!
